You may be surprised to find out that Puerto Morelos has a growing list of local musicians and bands. You can find many of them on Spotify or YouTube. To make it easier we thought we would compile a list here so that you can support them and listen to them online when you are away from your favourite beach community.

The Nobodies

The Nobodies are Sebastian and Diego, both originally hail from Argentina. If are you looking for some great, “make you want to get up and dance”, music (not to mention a killer rendition of “Suspicious Minds”) stop by and check out this local group. Currently they are playing Thursdays at Taninos, but check their Facebook page for other gigs around town.

Sebastian Viton

Sebastian also has his own channel on Spotify, so make sure to follow him there. Remember every time you listen to an artist on Spotify they make a (very) little bit of money.

Parking Free

If you are looking for some amazing electric guitar sprinkled with vocals, check out Parking Free. Hector and Sebastian (he is a busy guy) can be found frequently playing at Lauro’s. You can also catch them at Diving Lodge or Unico. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for details. And for some wicked guitar, Hector has his own page on YouTube. You can catch Hector regularly at Lauro’s.

Nacho

El Campanario features sax music Tuesday through Sunday with Nacho who hails from Cuba. Always a fun time!

Street Army Taxco

This local Puerto Morelos rap/hip hop group originates from Taxco. If you take a good look at the picture you may recognize some of the people in the group. You can find out more about them here on their Facebook Page or listen to their must here on YouTube or Spotify. See their latest release here!

If you are a musician or band that resides in Puerto Morelos, drop us an email and we would be happy to add you to our page.

Don’t forget to tip! Often musicians are playing for tips only, so if you enjoy seeing them live, make sure to throw them a few pesos.
